Q. The 2018 project “Tapped In” received really good reviews and had a lot of bangers such as “Down”, “A Song About You ( Drunk)”, and more would you consider that your coming out tape in a way?
Definitely! I dropped a mixtape in college but it was kind of all over the place. Tapped in was for sure my introduction!
Q. Lately you’ve been featured on lots songs with Trayce Chapman, AP, DNA and more. Who’s your favorite person to collaborate with in the city and why?
Yeah, those are my dawgs! They’re all dope. AP and Trayce took me under their wing off the rip. They genuinely believe in me and vice versa. AP is like a real big brother though, he’s sat me down and taught me some things about coming up in the city, protecting myself, etc. I look up to him in a lot of ways. His work ethic is unbelievable, to it’s so inspiring to see someone give all that they have to live out their dreams—real solid dude for real.
Q. You have the talent of being able to rap and sing, which do you consider yourself a rapper or a singer?
I’ve been having this debate for so long in my head, lol. I would call myself an artist, probably as cliche as that sounds. I don’t know which way to go because even though my most R&B tracks have some crazy flow, my hardest tracks have some melodies and singing to them. So yeah, I guess I’d say just a musician or artist. I do upload all my music as R&B/Soul, though.
