There are not too many black people in the diamond business when it comes to jewelry, especially at a young age, but Christian is here to defy all odds. With a father who has found success in the business over the years, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree at all. Christian has been designing jewelry pieces consistently since a teenager, and his hard work has transitioned into him running his own business. He has become known as one of the go-to jewelers in the city and has multiple clients in states from Colorado, Las Vegas, California, and more. Check out the interview with my boy Christian below!
Explain to the people your family background and how you ended up in the jewelry business?
Jeffery, my dad, started selling jewelry on the road to different stores back in the 1980s. So pretty much, I have been playing with gold and diamonds for as long as I can remember. I designed my first piece when I was only 15, so it was always something I knew I'd get into eventually. Once he opened his own store "Jeffery B Jewelers, in 2010, I knew then that it would be my launching pad into the industry.
You happen to be the go-to guy in Colorado when it comes to all jewelry, what’s your secret to keeping your customers happy and coming back for more pieces?
Honestly, it's about showing love for me and being excited to work with every customer, no matter how large or small the dollar amount. I want everyone who comes to me for whatever piece of jewelry to be excited whatever it is I am. From what I can see, that mentally resonates with everyone who decides to do business with me.
