There are not too many black people in the diamond business when it comes to jewelry, especially at a young age, but Christian is here to defy all odds. With a father who has found success in the business over the years, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree at all. Christian has been designing jewelry pieces consistently since a teenager, and his hard work has transitioned into him running his own business. He has become known as one of the go-to jewelers in the city and has multiple clients in states from Colorado, Las Vegas, California, and more. Check out the interview with my boy Christian below!

Explain to the people your family background and how you ended up in the jewelry business?

Jeffery, my dad, started selling jewelry on the road to different stores back in the 1980s. So pretty much, I have been playing with gold and diamonds for as long as I can remember. I designed my first piece when I was only 15, so it was always something I knew I'd get into eventually. Once he opened his own store "Jeffery B Jewelers, in 2010, I knew then that it would be my launching pad into the industry.

You happen to be the go-to guy in Colorado when it comes to all jewelry, what’s your secret to keeping your customers happy and coming back for more pieces?

Honestly, it's about showing love for me and being excited to work with every customer, no matter how large or small the dollar amount. I want everyone who comes to me for whatever piece of jewelry to be excited whatever it is I am. From what I can see, that mentally resonates with everyone who decides to do business with me.

Out of all the custom pieces you've created, which one would be your favorite and go into details if you can on how your custom work is different than other jewelers?

So far, my favorite custom piece would have to be the "SharkGang" piece I did for Aurora artist ACOBABYSEAN. It's crazy being able to create a piece that organic and also being able to bring it to life with subtlety like the diamonds in the teeth and the eyes, and it stood out to me. If I have to pick an aspect of how my work is different, I'd say it's my hunger to get to the next piece done mixed with the level of expertise that comes with it. Most jewelers who can do the quality of work that I can do are all big-time or famous. Working with those jewelers will take forever, or customers have to bring a dollar amount significant enough to catch their attention. When it comes to me, you get the same quality of work, if not better, and it's not as expensive as the more prominent jewelers in the game.

For those who don't know you are a huge rap fan and heavily influenced by all music in general, who is your favorite artist right now to listen to?

My favorite rap artist to listen to right now would have to be either Pardison Fontaine or Mick Jenkins.

Have you ever made a piece and it was so dope you had to keep it for yourself?

Haha no not yet! But I definitely have my own piece in the works, I have been putting a lot of work into the design of it so you guys definitely should be on the lookout for that one.

Where is your business currently located?

We just moved from Southlands this past September, now we are currently located in Cherry Creek. The address is 300 South Jackson Street, Suite 135.

What can we expect from you in 2021, and what are some of your personal goals for your jewelry career this year?

2021 is huge man, I have a new thing that I am working on that is called the "Christian Stone Black Card." I have been teasing it on social media lately, and you guys will get more info on it. I want to get that established this year. I also want to get Christian Stone out of state and start working with more out of state customers. I've been in contact with a few boutiques in Los Angeles and Vegas interested in carrying pieces of mine in their store. Those things are definitely on my schedule for this year.
