During a recent press conference hosted by Universal Music Group and Geffen Records, I had the pleasure of asking Rob 49 a thought-provoking question. He was there promoting his latest album, “Let Me Fly,” and the atmosphere was charged with excitement. As he dived into his musical journey, Rob shared insightful reflections on his artistic influences, illuminating the experiences and inspirations that have shaped his sound. After a considerable wait, my anticipation mounted as it was finally my turn to speak. Rob sat calmly on screen, giving off a warm demeanor and clearly prepared to engage with the influx of questions. With a hint of excitement in my voice, I asked, “What song would you consider your favorite on the project, and why?” He let out a deep, reflective sigh, his eyes drifting momentarily before meeting mine with an earnest gaze. “Man,” he began, his tone blending frustration and sincerity, “to be completely honest with you, I love and hate that you asked me that.” Intrigued by his response, I prompted him to elaborate. He explained, “When you’re in the middle of recording an album, every song you create feels like your best work.
